Park of Peace

The Parque de la Paz in Honduras may not be located in the safest neighborhood, but it is definitely worth visiting if you don't have to go on foot but can reach the wonderful view at the top with your group by 7 seater car rental.  And what a view it is!  Possible the best panoramic shot of Tegucigalpa you'll get anywhere.  The park also features the Honduras Peace Monument.

The Biggest Open Market in Honduras

Head down to the river in your Tegucigalpa Airport car rental for an afternoon of shopping at the San Isidro Market.  16 square blocks that encompass just about everything under the sun, the market is a great place to find great deals on average items, fresh goods and produce, as well as some unique souvenirs.  If the outdoor market isn't exactly the shopping experience you were looking for Tegucigalpa also has a couple of huge, modern, and very nice shopping malls, though the prices don't compare to the outdoor market.

Tegucigalpa Central Park

Check out the central park of Comayagüela during your tour of Tegucigalpa by car rental.  Explore the monuments of the square, then stop at one of the local restaurants for a traditional Honduran lunch.  Located just a couple blocks north of the central park, overlooking the street, is the popular restaurant La Terraza de Don Pepe.
